1. As regards its application, is there any
difference between the traditional tongue-andgroove
and loc-system finished parquet?
There is no difference. Both can be applied with the same conditions.
2. Should damp proof foil be used anyway?
In case of new building and new cushion
concrete, yes. In case of older, inhabited dry
building, when under the room to be floored
there is e.g. cellar or any other wet room, or
even outdoor.
3. Is the old wall-to-wall carpet suitable for
parquet underlay?
Theoretically yes when its tile is not long and
not worn unevenly. However, in hygienic
viewpoint it is practical to be removed.
4. Why is it necessary to open several bundles
and check before laying?
Because there may be panels even in the most
homogenous assortment, which rational
arrangement and placement may enhance
esthetics of the whole surface, since the
parquet is made of natural wood,
and therefore naturally multi coloured.
5. How thick is the walking layer of the parquet?
Over 3.5 mm.
6. How many times can the parquet be polished?
Several times. In case of reconstruction
performed in time, not waiting until the
whole lacquered surface is worn, it can be
lacquered with several layers after a fine
polishing rouging the surface.
7. Should the parquet be lacquered immediately
after the installation?
No! Because of the 7-layer, wear-resinstant
lacquer on the surface of the parquet, it is
suitable for living space utilization.
8.Can the parquet of 14 mm thickness be used in
room with under-floor heating?
Yes, but with wood type and structural
restrictions. In case of under-floor heating the
parquet has higher heat impact than in case of
a room with traditional heating! Certain wood
types (especially beech and maple) and
parquets with undivided walking surface
(dielen) do not endure as much as the others,
therefore these are not recommended for this
purpose. Oak is tried and tested.
9. Can the parquet be used in office?
Yes, however, it should be considered that the
office utilization is multiple of that of the
average living room, therefore the lacquering is
worn much more, and the reconstruction cycle
will be shorter.
10. Can the parquet be mopped?
No! Dry cleaning should be applied: vacuum
cleaner or wiping with dry cloth. If the stain
cannot be removed this way, then it should be
removed by its solvent, however, no corrosive
material can be used! The surface can be
regularly wiped with wet cloth; however, do
that as infrequently as possible, with less wet
cloth.
More information can be found in the download section.
11. Is this laminated parquet?
No. The laminated parquet and the parquet
made of natural wood are two different
categories.
12. Can the parquet be used in bathroom or
sanitary room?
No way is recommended. Water causes
swelling, dilation and removal of the parquet.
There are several types of flooring, however,
the optimal one should be found!
